At MagicLab, we are opening the doors of our studio this summer to aspiring game developers, artists, and product enthusiasts who want to gain hands-on experience in the game industry.
Our Summer Internship Program is a two-month, full-time, on-site program at our office in ODTÜ Teknokent, Ankara. During the program, our interns will work closely with experienced MagicLab mentors, gain hands-on experience in the mobile game development process, and strengthen their skills through practical work.
Whether you are completing a mandatory university internship or applying for a voluntary internship, this program is designed to help you take your first real step into the game industry.
Internship Roles
We are looking for interns in the following areas:
Game Developer
Work with our team to explore how mobile games are built and published. You will contribute to gameplay systems, experiment with prototypes, and gain experience with real development workflows.
Game Artist
Support the art pipeline by creating visual assets, concepts, and illustrations that align with the style of the project. You will collaborate with artists, designers, and developers while learning production-ready workflows.
Product Specialist
Analyze games, contribute gameplay ideas, explore player experience, and support product decisions together with designers, artists, and developers.
What You’ll Do
During the internship, you will:
Work alongside experienced MagicLab mentors
Gain hands-on experience in the mobile game development process
Participate in practical tasks across the production pipeline
Collaborate with developers, artists, and product specialists
Learn how game teams iterate, test, and improve ideas
Explore different aspects of the game development lifecycle firsthand
Who We’re Looking For
3rd or 4th year university students
Passionate about games and interested in the game industry
Able to participate in a full-time, on-site internship at our ODTÜ Teknokent office
Curious, motivated, and eager to learn from experienced professionals
Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
Requirements
Portfolio is required for Game Artist applications.
A Github link or equivalent proof of work is a big plus in Game Developer applications.
We are looking for at least entry-level knowledge of Unity and C# for Game Developer applications.
Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets will be considered a strong plus for the Product Specialist role.
